Executive Director Emeritus
We fondly remember Dr. B.C. Vermeersch, who served as Executive Director of Musicians Foundation for over 26 years. In his decades of leadership, he greatly advanced the visibility and reach of the organization to provide essential financial support to thousands and thousands of musicians throughout the country. His vision always put musicians first, and improving their welfare was his guiding principle. As a compassionate, committed, and curious person, B.C. cared deeply for working musicians, and was a strong advocate for their place in the nation's cultural fabric. He passed away on May 21, 2026 and will always be remembered for his devotedness to Musicians Foundation. Before his passing, the Musicians Foundation Board of Directors passed the following resolution in his honor.
