Support for “Queen of the Blues”

Known as “Queen of the Blues,” Denise LaSalle was a legendary blues, R&B, and soul singer, songwriter, and producer. Her song “Trapped by a Thing Called Love” was a gold record and reached #1 on the R&B chart, and had a  spot on the Billboard Top 40 (peaking at #13). She is in both the Blues Hall of Fame (2011) and the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame (2015).

When her husband had a heath emergency, Musicians Foundation provided essential housing support so Ms. LaSalle could take time off from her recording and touring work.

… I express my heartfelt gratitude for your help with my mortgage during a time of need. My family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
