I just wanted to thank you and the Musicians Foundation for providing me with financial assistance following my unfortunate power tool accident in March 2014 that badly damaged my left hand ring finger. I am a musician, guitarist, educator, author; I also build guitars and do instrument repairs. Needless to say, I need all of my fingers for my work. The accident caused me to miss many months of work and we fell behind on our mortgage and other obligations. Because I am self-employed, it’s nearly impossible to ‘catch up’ the lost work time and money. Even though it’s been over a year since my accident, I continue to feel the effects of the injury through residual nerve damage. I am determined to work through the pain and regain the ground that I’ve lost. I’m grateful to the Musicians Foundation for their encouragement and tangible help during this difficult time of continuing recovery. God bless you.
